Travel Disclosures
A Note on Transparency
Travel is a collaboration. These disclosures outline the role I play in your arrangements, the suppliers involved, and the responsibilities we each hold throughout the planning process. My goal is to provide clarity, protect your experience, and ensure every trip is built on a foundation of trust and informed decision‑making.
Role & Scope of Services
I operate as an independent travel designer. I curate, recommend, and arrange travel components on your behalf, including but not limited to accommodations, transportation, tours, cruises, and on‑the‑ground services. All travel components are fulfilled by third‑party suppliers, each with their own terms, conditions, and operational policies. When you approve an itinerary or make a payment, you agree to those supplier terms in addition to mine.
I do not own, operate, or control the suppliers used in your arrangements.
Supplier Responsibility & Liability
Airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, transportation companies, and other travel service providers are responsible for delivering the services you purchase.
I am not liable for:
• Acts or omissions of suppliers
• Delays, cancellations, schedule changes, or service disruptions
• Government actions, entry denials, or border‑control decisions
• Health, safety, or security incidents during travel
I advocate for you and support you throughout the process, but the supplier is the entity ultimately responsible for performance.
Client Responsibility
Documentation & Entry Requirements
Accurate, valid travel documentation is essential for both domestic and international travel. It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they have the correct documents and that those documents remain valid for the entire duration of travel.
Domestic Travel (United States)
Travelers are responsible for meeting TSA identification requirements for air travel within the U.S., including REAL ID‑compliant identification when required.
International Travel
For international travel, a valid U.S. Passport Book is required for air travel back to the United States. Most countries require that your passport:
• Be valid for the entire duration of your stay, and
• Expire no sooner than six (6) months after your planned return date
It is the traveler’s responsibility to:
• Verify passport expiration dates
• Renew passports in a timely manner
• Confirm visa requirements, entry forms, health documentation, and vaccination rules
• Ensure minors have appropriate documentation
I provide guidance and reminders, but I cannot guarantee entry or boarding if documentation is incomplete, invalid, or expired.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for every trip. Policies may include coverage for trip cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation, baggage loss, supplier default, and other unforeseen events. I am happy to provide quotes and comparisons, but the decision to purchase coverage, and the selection of policy terms, rests with the traveler.
Payments & Authorization
When you authorize a payment, you agree to the supplier’s terms and conditions, including cancellation policies, change fees, and refund rules. Payments may be processed directly by the supplier or through a secure third‑party system. I do not store or retain your credit card information.
Pricing, Availability & Changes
All pricing and availability are controlled solely by the supplier and are subject to change at any time until a payment is processed and confirmed. Any quote I provide, including written quotes, verbal quotes, screenshots, or supplier‑generated eQuotes, is not guaranteed until the supplier accepts payment and issues a confirmation.
Flight Pricing
Airfare is the most volatile component of travel. Prices can change multiple times per day, sometimes within minutes, and occasionally even during the booking process. Unless flights are included within a supplier‑built package, airfare must be paid in full at the time of booking. When flights are bundled into a package, the supplier may still adjust the price until the package deposit is successfully processed.
Because flight pricing is dynamic and controlled entirely by the airline or supplier, I cannot guarantee that a quoted fare will remain available. If a price increases before payment is accepted, the traveler is responsible for the new fare.
Supplier‑Driven Adjustments
Suppliers may adjust pricing, availability, inclusions, or promotional offers at their discretion. I will always communicate changes promptly and advocate for the best possible outcome, but I cannot control or override supplier decisions.
Accessibility & Special Requests
I will always communicate accessibility needs, medical considerations, and special requests to suppliers. However, fulfillment of these requests is not guaranteed and is subject to supplier capability and availability.
